Bryant Engineering offers a total machining service to the Engine Rebuilders. We do not carry out assembly work but confine our activities to rebuilding and machining of Engine components.

COMPONENT CLEANING

All parts are cleaned prior to inspection and machining. We have three separate systems that cover all the requirements.

  • Ferrous Tank. This accepts blocks up to 3,000mm long x 1,300mm wide
  • Non Ferrous Tank. This is primarily used for Aluminum parts & Components.
  • Ultrasonic System. This system is primarily designed to clean Oil Coolers and After Coolers.



INSPECTION

All parts are inspected on arrival and a report as to their condition prepared for the customer. Facilities include:

  • Fluorescent Magnetic Particle Inspection
  • Die Penetrant Inspection
  • Pressure Testing
  • Ultrasonic Wall Thickness Testing
  • Surface Finish Measurement
  • Bore scope camera

CYLINDER BLOCKS

This section is fully equipped with all the necessary machines including a CNC block machining center. Services offered include:

  • Boring , Resleeving and Honing of Cylinder Bores
  • Surfacing Decks
  • Fitting and machining of Top Deck and Lower Seal Inserts
  • Line Boring Main and Cam Tunnels. Reclaiming tunnel damage
  • Line Honing
  • Water Ferrule damage repairs
  • Corrosion and electrolysis repairs
  • Head Stud and other bolt repairs
  • Rebuilding Decks back to Standard Height



CYLINDER HEADS

This section has all the facilities to fully recondition Cylinder Heads, including a CNC valve Seat Cutter.  Services include but are not limited to:  

  • Crack Test & Pressure Test
  • Valve Guide and Valve Seat Replacement
  • Thread Repairs
  • Injector Tube Replacement and seat Cutting
  • Corrosion Welding and crack repairs
  • Surfacing of main faces and manifold faces
  • Valve Refacing and Valve seat cutting

CRANKSHAFTS

We currently have three crankshaft grinders with an additional large grinder on order. Services offered include

  • Linishing journals and seal areas
  • Reclaiming Seal areas
  • Grinding Journals to specific sizes


CON RODS

 This section is fully equipped to service all types of Con Rods. The services offered include:

  • Alignment and measurement
  • Replacement of Small End Bushes
  • Fitting of Pistons
  • Resizing of main tunnel housings
  

GENERAL

Our general engineering and welding section is complementary to the other sections in the workshop and is equipped to repair the ancillary items on an engine which include:

  • Surfacing and repairs to sumps, manifolds, Oil and Water Pumps, adaptors
  • Reclamation of Shaft Seal and bearing areas
  • Repairs to Flywheel housings
  • Removal of Broken bolts and studs and fitting of thread inserts
  • All Cast Iron and Aluminum  welding repairs
  • Resleeving of Trunion Mounts
  • All other repairs necessary on engine components
